Dear Parents and Community Members:
Below, you will find links to your local school’s No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Report Card for the 2006-2007 school year. This report includes a school summary, a grade by grade report, participation levels in the Maine Educational Assessments (MEA’s), and a list of teachers and their status under the highly qualified provisions of the NCLB. A two-year cumulative summary is also provided that shows MEA scores in reading and math for the 2005-06 and the 2006-07 MEA testing years.
I hope that you find this information useful. The MEA’s are only one measure of a school’s proficiency and I encourage you to ask your teachers and building principal how student and overall school success is viewed through other measures. I also encourage you to contact your local school principal if you have further questions about this report card.
If your student receives services for reading and/or math through our Title 1 program, I encourage you to contact your school’s Title 1 teacher if you have any questions about that program or your child’s services. The teachers are:
Mt. Vernon: Leslie Grenier
Wayne: Lynette Stinneford
Readfield: Barbara Bourgoine
Please note that neither of the CSD schools (High School and Middle School) or Manchester Elementary School receive Title 1 funding.
Thank you for your support of our schools and our NCLB programs!
Lew Collins, NCLB District Coordinator
