The activity of updating a blog is "blogging" and someone who keeps a blog is a "blogger." A group of teachers spent a half day last month learning about the education uses of the WeBlog and now we are off and running.

Jan Kolenda, District Technology Coordinator, is moderating the German American Partnership Program 2005 WeBlog which will follow the travels of our Maranacook Students in Germany. This format of communication allows for all parents to post a blog to keep each other updated on the trip. We are hoping to have some Maranacook German students that are not on the trip to be actively involved too! Community members might like to follow the adventure and add some advice of sites not to be missed.

They are reading and discussing the article, The Web: The Bully's New Playground (People; 3/14/2005, Vol. 63, Issue 10, p152). They will be joined by Michael Webber, from the State of Maine, Attorney General's Office, to ask him questions about this topic.
